The work gildingmixtion imposed on a carefully prepared, well-dried soil, insulated (usuallyshellac) using a flat brush, a thin layer. High skill required to determine themoment when mixtion is ready for bonding metal flakes. It can not be too wet,because then flake "tone", and not too dry not stick to. Actually mixtionshould not stick when touched up and with a swift drag your finger on thesurface seem characteristic wheezing sound.
